For centuries travellers have been seduced by Guatemala’s incomparable mountain setting and by the Mayan traditions of language and dress that survive in the picturesque villages along its shores.
Ringed by towering volcanoes and dubbed the most beautiful lake in the world by Aldous Huxley, Lake Atitlan is undoubtedly the jewel in Guatemala’s crown. This stunning 6-day, 100km trekking challenge takes us along ancient Maya trading routes past many of Guatemala’s 33 volcanoes and ends at Lake Atitlan with an ascent of San Pedro Volcano (3,020m).
