Join SSAFA on this incredible 5 day trekking challenge to the lost city of Machu Picchu.
Our trekking route takes us on a rarely used Inca highway, its a well kept secret and takes us through some of the most stunning scenery in the world. Starting in the heart of the Urubamba Valley as we follow in the footsteps of the Incas, passing snow-capped mountains and glacial peaks. We end the trek at the lost city of Machu Picchu, Peru’s most famous Inca ruin, which had been abandoned to the forest for over 500 years until it was re-discovered in 1911 by American historian Hiram Bingham.
CarillionAmey is a key partner of SSAFA and we’re very proud of our partnership. They are committed to raising £250,000 over 5 years of the partnership to help SSAFA provide lifelong support for our Armed Forces and their families. Our partnership funds the Mentoring Service SSAFA offers, which supports Wounded, Injured and Sick personnel struggling with the transition to civilian life. SSAFA’s work is needed now more than ever and that’s why we’ve launched this exciting trek to Peru, during which we expect to raise substantial funds and further grow awareness of our work.
