Join Alzheimer’s Society on this incredible challenge trekking to Machu Picchu on an ancient Inca highway.
Our trekking route takes us on a rarely used Inca highway, its a well kept secret and takes us through some of the most stunning scenery in the world. Starting in the heart of the Urubamba Valley as we follow in the footsteps of the Incas, passing snow-capped mountains and glacial peaks. We end the trek at the lost city of Machu Picchu, Peru’s most famous Inca ruin, which had been abandoned to the forest for over 500 years until it was re-discovered in 1911 by American historian Hiram Bingham.
