Join Beanstalk in October 2017 for an incredible adventure and challenge through Morocco’s Atlas Mountains and the foothills of Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak at 4167m.
In and around the foothills of Toubkal are numerous villages that have remained largely unaffected by the outside world. With their traditional architecture intact, these villages cling to the side of mountains, seemingly carved into the rock in layers of terraces that appear to defy gravity. It is through this glorious unchanged panorama that we trek on our way to the summit of Toubkal, or as it is locally known Adrar n’dem – Mountain of Mountains. From Toubkal, we continue though the Atlas range and spend a day working on a community project in a rural mountain school. Our journey ends in the wonderful city of Marrakesh.
