The great safari land of Tanzania is without doubt the stuff of legends, not just for their mighty tribes and proud warriors, or the intrepid explorers and pioneers of days gone by, but also the magnificence of their landscapes and wildlife.
Our trekking challenge begins on the arid, game-rich bush country of Tarengire National Park. We trek for 4 days, across the Africa bush, onto the shores of Lake Manyara, sanctuary to thousands of flamingos. We pass a number of small villages and settlements, and we’ll have opportunity to meet local tribes people and learn about their culture. The whole area is also home to a myriad of wildlife including giraffe, zebra, impala, gazelle and ostrich.
Our African adventure finishes with an exhilarating ascent of the spectacular Rift Valley escarpment and includes a day’s game drive into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area.
